I know a pianist that happened to. She has alread yhad carpal tunnel surgery in each wrist twice but they were about ten years apart.

With the surgery, they go in any cut the ligament that encircles all the tendons that run through your wrist.  From what I understand, the recovery time is at least 6 weeks and up.  The thing that makes me pause is that carpal tunnel tend to come back after a couple years.

Has anyone here had the carpal tunnel surgery before? Is it really painful? How long does it take to recover before you can go back to work?
