3 months later though?  That just sounds too quick… like they did not do a thorough job when they did the mammogram.  I have had one done and it wasn't fun but they did a great job.

I'm sure things can be missed.  I agree it might have been super small then and it grew quickly?  I think that is why self-exams are so important.  We know what our breast feel like and we should be checking them.

I hate the idea of someone thinking a doctor missed something but is it possible that it could not have been detected at that stage (early)?


I am sure they have better means (besides hands) to find certain things, but I am sure its also possible to miss things early on too.

I have a friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer.  She went for a mammogram 3 months ago and was given the A-ok results.  She felt something last month and then went to her doctor and now she has breast cancer?

How could they have missed it?  Do you think it's that fast growing and it wasn't there before?
