I think it is a risk some people are willing to take. Depending on the severity of the condition and what the side effects were, I would be willing to do a trial of something if it gave me hope.

Has anyone here ever noticed how many trial drugs there are? Lately a friend of mine on facebook mentioned her cancer came back and she was going to get into a new study for it. I always wondered about medical studies before but what happens if the treatment does not take but ends up making the condition worse?
