I did some looking around about this but found nothing that is considered very accurate.  It is too bad, because early screening could really change the course of this disease.  From what I read, researchers are working hard to find a test that can aid in early detection.  We just aren't there yet.

Does anyone know of any regular screening that is done?  I have never seen anyone talk about it. 

My best friend's mom died of this.  She thought she had the flu and it was a very advanced case.  It worries me, and I wish I knew what to do for early screening.
