I make sure to get up and move around a lot. I also stretch while I am sitting. And a good chair makes a big difference too. I bought a new office chair last year and I can't believe how much better I feel when I am working now.

I work exclusively online and I have been having a lot of back problems lately. I know my chair is not the greatest but I add pillows to it for extra support and I probably get up at least once every half hour. Stretching does help relieve some of the pain.

Be it working online or working in office, any sedentary jobs would potentially cause back problems. But nothing to worry about. Along with following the usefultips above, try to do exercise everyday. Yoga is a good option of dailypractice.

Another thing that you can do is make sure you stretch out your muscles. They tend to tighten up when you stay in one position for a long time so make sure you stretch.

I work exclusively online and yes, it can be hard on the back, neck and shoulders. I found that getting a really good chair helps a lot – make sure to have arm and back support with a head rest. Also, it's best to work for only 50 minutes, then take ten minutes to walk around. In my case, where I work from home, I use the ten minutes to do quick cleaning tasks. Since I started doing this, my back, neck and shoulders feel a lot better.

Get up and move around a lot. I work in an office as an Accountant and I'm sitting a lot too. I make sure I get up several times throughout the day and move around. You can't sit there for so long without having back problems.

When one is working online for more than 10 hours per day, what possible back problems may occur? What precautions should be taken to avoid the problem?
