Don't stop trying to get through to him. Sometimes they ignore communication attmepts and then suddenly they start to communicate and you realize they have been paying attention all along.

I would ask your friend what the best approach would be. Since she is with him everyday she probably knows what works and what doesn't.

I have a friend that has an autistic son and I would like to be able to communicate with him but I dont' think I am getting through to him sometimes. What is the best way to communicate with an autistic child?
