My appointment was cancelled but I scheduled another one. It is crazy- I want to get walking again! I love to get up and get moving and it's weird to me that it happened when I was over 35.

It is definitely possible that you get asthma as an adult. You should get it checked as soon as possible. I waited 3 awful weeks before I got checked for asthma.

I scheduled an appointment for next week. I'm starting to feel worse a lot more often now. It stinks! I hope they can figure it out quick so I can get back to walking.

You absolutely can develop asthma as an adult, particularly if you have allergies anyway. My mother developed asthma in her 40s, right about the same time she developed allergies that she had never had before. it is something you should discuss with your doctor right away.

You sure could and it depends on many factors like the air quality where you live, but most of the people I know who got asthma as an adult were heavy to even light smokers.

I think you can get asthma as an adult. I'm pretty sure you can get it anytime. My wife has a hard time breathing from time to time and I told her to get checked out too. So I would contact the doctor and see what they say.

You can absolutely develop asthma as an adult and yes allergies can have something to do with it. Allergens frequently make you congested and that congestion can settle in your lungs making it more difficult to breathe.

Yes, you could. Asthma occurs at any time of life. You really need to see a doctor as soon as possible to get treatment for it. Asthma can be life threatening if you don't get treatment for it.

My husband was told just a year ago that he had asthma. He is 36 years old. He also has had allergies all of his life. I wonder if that does have something to do with it.

Sure you can get asthma as an adult. There is no rule that states you have to get asthma as a child. My mom got asthma when she was an adult. I think I might be getting it too. You would want to get checked out at the doctors. You might need some kind of an inhaler.

Lately I've been having problems getting a deep breath. If I am outside and it's really cold out or if I walk a lot then I start to wheeze. It scares me. I have had allergies for as long as I can remember, but never problems breathing. Could I have gotten asthma as an adult?
