My niece has had this for quite a few years. She had to have both knees and both hips operated on. She seemed to be getting worse and then the doctors out her on some medication that they had already tried a while ago. Now she is doing much better. She is in so much pain it tears your heart out. She is in her early 30s. I wish they could find a way to help people with this. It`s very painful.

My 4 year old granddaughter has had it since she was around 18 months old and has regular methotrexate injections. She has so many blood tests and other injections she makes it look easy, but I wish it would go away as it tires her out so easily.

As there is no real cause of rheumatoid arthritis, how can we prevent from having this illness? I am 27 years old and sometimes my joints in my hands hurt after I have done a very tiring work. My palms also become sweaty when they are extremely tired. Are these the signs of having rheumatoid arthritis?

Does anyone else here have RA? I am a 71 year old who has suffered with it for quite a few years. I am still able to get around and do quite a bit surprisingly. I'd like to connect with other RA sufferers and talk about drugs and problems that we experience.
