Well Jana I am only 30 and my knees make the most horrible creaking noises I didn't notice it being that bad before I had my daughter but they definitely cause me some pain now.

I didn't know running placed that much stress on the joints! I have been exercising for a while but I haven't had any trouble yet. Maybe I should show down some before I really do have problems.

You may want to see a sports medicine doctor or an orthopedics doc for an assessment of your knees. Sometimes they can do things to ease the pain a bit. But, as a previous poster noted, you may need to slow down to other exercise forms and give your knees a rest.

Jogging can place up to 7 times the impact of your weight on knee joints. Have you ever thought of replacing your jogs with other workouts a few times a week to give our knees a rest? I know a lot of fitness professionals from the '70's and '80's are having knee and hip replacements now after overdoing it for years.

I've been having quite a time with my knees lately. As you can see from my user name, I love to jog and this pain has been cutting into my hobby time. Could this be arthritis? I'm just 32 and have never had trouble before.
