It has to be one of the saddest diseases ever. To have someone who is fine in body but who has lost their memories and don't even know their own children is just terribly sad to me. My friend was only in her 50's when she was diagnosed and lost her mind so very quickly.

I found this very helpful chart to help recognize the early symptoms.
I don't know how reliable the site really is, but it does seem to show the differences really well. When someone has Alzheimer's, it affects their ability to think correctly, not just to remember things.
It is important to understand that everyone forgets things!

I think it can occur anytime in an adult. As far as signs and symptoms, the only thing I know are forgetting important things. I had a friend who came out from work one day and she couldn't find her car so she decided to walk home. The diagnosed her about a month later.
