Every now and then I have some freinds tell me that the use of a chiropractor is not worth its grain in salt. I wonder if any have ever been? To me its great but I just do not see why the chiropractors get such a bad wrap.

I LOVE going to the chiropractor.  He has done more for me than any of the doctors I have seen for my back pain.  I am going to continue to go to him as long as he keeps getting the results he has.

I personally don't see one, but would consider it.  A friend of mine has had issues with his hip since he was a kid, and this affect his back as well.  He goes to a chiropractor every few months and comes out feeling brand new.

The most I think about this and the friends I have known in the past that have been helped by this, the more I am thinking of going back (I have only gone once). Recently my back has started to hurt but its either this or a full blown MRI which honestly, I am not sure if my insurance will cover. Surprised

I've had occasional back problems ever since I slipped on some ice so I see a chiropractor whenever my back problems flare up.  To me, my chiropractor is well worth the money.

My daughter is only 28 but she suffered terribly after she  wrenched her back. The doctor just gav eher muscle relaxant tablets but as soon as she started seeing a chiropractor it began to improve.

I used to see one for a long time. But I ended up needing back surgery. The Chiropractor I was seeing did help some but not enough. I saw another one before I had the surgery and he did help a lot more. But I still had to have surgery.

Most that I have spoken with all say that you need to walk in the first time with a clear mind, those who end up walking in with the attitude that it will never work, it can not work, etc.

Chiropractors are doctors but they are doctors of chiropractic.  They train to do spinal alignment and physiotherapy on the joints of the body. I have severe back pain and he does alignment and therapy on it.  When he does the adjustment, you can hear your joints or back pop and crack like knuckles cracking.  It may hurt for a few minutes but it feels really good when you get done.  I went to him the first time walking on a cane and now I don't use it.  I'd say he did a good job! :)

I have not been but I would love to. None of the chiropractors in my area accept our insurance. Since the birth of my child a year ago I feel like my back is constantly out of alignment.

I see one about every 3 or 4 months. I have a lot of problems with my neck and shoulders and have found that the chiropractor helps a lot. He turned me onto biofreeze as well which helps with the muscles.

I do.  When I has having some major pain around my hips 10 years ago, I went to see an orthopedic surgeon who said I might need surgery.  Decided to see if a chiropractor could help and through many sessions of deep tissue massage, he was able to work out the pain and determined it was from overly tight ligaments and tendons.   I'm still a patient of that chiropractor.

I have never seen a chiropractor either, and I have no idea what kind of treatment he/she does. But I am interested to hear your experience with the chiropractor, Jack. Did he do a kind of massage?

I never tried this kind of alternative medical procedure before. What is the aim of this chiropractor? Who can do this procedure and can we check if they are licensed to do this? Pardon me for having doubts on this medical procedure but I'm just cautious.

I was just wondering if anyone else has seen a chiropractor?  I have for quite some time since I have a bad back.  He has helped me immensely with my back pain and with the flexibility that I have retained.  It feels so good when I get my adjustments.
