I think it doesn't hurt in terms of blood flowing etc, but some people (me included) just don't feel comfortable with needles. I prefer to get massaged how painful it is.

So the needles hurt? I have only seen pictures of people with the needles all over. Livinggreen, did you get any relief from your symptoms after the one treatment?

Accupuncture is a good alternative treatment, but it's not for everyone. I ever tried it once and would never try it again. I hate needles. I prefer accupressure. I can bear the pain as long as no neddles involved.

Does anyone here go to get accupuncture done? How effective is it? I would like to go and get accupuncture for chronic pain and also to help quit smoking but not sure it will work.
