What is that saying again, nature vs. nurture? The environment vs. something else that I can not seem to remember today? I think it all adds to the good and bad of each person as a human, but sometimes things are still out of our control (esp. environment).

I don't know if genes have to do with the lifespan of an individual. But I do believe that the culture of a person will contribute on how long he or she will live. This could be the reason why ethnicity is thought to contribute on aging. I think it is the common lifestyle of the people that influences aging.

Is it true that the ethnicity plays a very large role in determining how fast you age? For instance that Indians age slower than the French. How is aging measured in such cases?
