Oldone, that is interesting. I have not noticed this, but I am going to check around with people I know.
As far as getting diagnosed, a GP doesn't diagnose this particular disorder. You would have to see a psychiatrist. It is not an emotional disorder, but it is a brain disorder. Most GP's won't talk to you about ADD unless you have already been diagnosed.

Some of the most common people I know that get checked for ADD/ADHD end up with Asperger syndrome, even small scale. I wonder what the connection is?

Have him set up a doctor's appointment. Be sure to tell the doctor what is going on with him. I'm sure they will figure out if he has it or not. I'm not sure if there is any test for it, I think it's just a symptoms thing?

I really think my husband has this. How would we go about getting him diagnosed and started on treatment?
He has trouble sticking with any task, and sometimes it is even hard to have a conversation with him, because his mind wanders so much. I think it is worse sometimes than others.
