If it would help, you should try to prevent from getting acne as much as possible in order for you not to deal with the scars. I would suggest that it is better for you to have a check-up first before you try any medications for everybody has a different type of skin. Your skin might get irritated with some type of medications.

I agree with lucy on the acid treatments; you can find at home kits that work well. Also, keeping the face moist will help reduce the appearance of acne scars greatly.

A good series of mild lactic or glycolic acid peels can help reduce the appearance of acne scars greatly. Additionally, maintaining a good acid peel regimen can keep them from coming back.

Are there any ways that you can reduce the appearance of acne scars? Would something like vitamin E capsules work or do you need to go to the dermatologist to get something?
