That is an interesting question.  I have never heard of that before, so I did some reading on the internet for you.  I read that most of the population is affected by acne in some way.  Up to 90% according to one source!  And, there is a suspicion that the age that it starts, and how long it affects a person might be inherited.  I doubt if they have done much real research, though, because it is not life threatening. 

My dad had acne on his face really bad, but I only had a couple of small patches on my shoulders when I was younger.  It was painful, but not bad.  My husband had really bad acne on his face.  We have a daughter, and I wonder if we need to watch her closely.  Will she inherit acne?
