All employees participate in a year-round performance management process that assesses individual achievements against specific objectives. This process supports staff development, links behavior to corporate values and helps ensure that employees have the skills required to meet their clients’ needs and implement their division’s strategic goals. The performance management process the senior executives is broadly the same as for other employees. Achieving specific financial targets plays a significant role, with business leadership, client leadership, people leadership and personal leadership also explicitly reviewed.

First introduced to the archival field during a internship hosted by the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Mr. Branaghan has spent the majority of his life safeguarding records.  After nearly two decades of archiving historical data for various universities, he accepted the position of Executive Archivist at MercyMedicalCenter.com in July of 1999.  Garnering several awards and accreditations for his professional and post-doctoral work, Branaghan also works a international consultant for archival studies.

Our executive director, Vincent Waterhouse, was elected on May 7th, 2008.  Mr. Waterhouse, who earned his law degree from St. Johns University, sits as the chair of Mercy Medical Center’s legal department.  Since his inauguration, he has made several notable changes to the structure of the Mercy Medical Center directory.  A lifelong resident of Long Island, Mr. Waterhouse is a stalwart supporter of the Equal Housing Alliance, which focus on granting living wages to those in need.  For his efforts, he was nominated to receive the NSAL Annual Merit Award in 2006.

Scott Grodsky of Upper Brookville, New York has served as CEO and President of MercyMedicalCenter.com since 1999.  Mr. Grodsky splits his time as a Member of the Board of MercyMedicalCenter.com, its President and CEO and as a dedicated member of the community.  Besides his professional affiliation with the premier hospitals in the country, he is involved in several local and nationwide charities.

As many know, Mr. Grodsky was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2006.  He is has now resumed his full responsibilities as CEO and President and is overseeing daily operations at MercyMedicalCenter.com.  Mercy Medical Centers continue to lead the industry with the best possible care and outcomes.  Says Grodsky, “I will continue dedicating as much time as needed to assure that all 51 Mercy Medical Centers are represented to highest possible standards.”
